Small Beginnings
1989
founded
Under the name, Susan Carol Associates Public Relations, the agency was incorporated as one of the first virtual firms in America. Based in Virginia, early clients were DC-area start-ups, trade associations and innovative companies at the intersection of telecommunications, technology, e-commerce, and digital publishing. Founder Susan Carol attracted many former newspaper reporters to join the firm as it helped clients explain their technological developments and create messaging that was tailored for their target audience, clearly conveyed—even memorable. The agency’s founder was accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and active in that organization.
1990s
warming up
While gaining clients in equipment finance nation-wide, the agency also helped dotcoms gain local, trade and national media attention and began advising healthcare organizations and physician groups to build websites and publish whitepapers, newsletters and Internet communications campaigns. 55/The agency earned an APEX award for technical writing on behalf of an imaging physician group in Fredericksburg, Virginia that was publishing a newsletter for a broader array of referring physicians. After joining the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA), founder Susan Carol became active in the association’s Service Provider Business Council and later its Communications Committee, as first chairwoman.
2000s
International reach
Gained international clients in the equipment finance industry to include companies based in the UK and Canada seeking business exposure in the United States. Renamed and rebranded the agency to Susan Carol Creative to reflect expanded consulting capabilities in branding, design, and creative marketing as well as public relations. Began frequently offering traditional media relations and social media training to clients and presented at local and national organizations on the growing powerful role of social media in corporate communications. Launched a thought leadership video program that was published by the Equipment Finance Advisor and featured leaders in equipment leasing and finance worldwide. Celebrated 20 years of membership in the ELFA.

2023
Rebranded to Foresight
Rebranded to Foresight Marketing and announced new CEO Anthony Trollope, while maintaining the agency’s core team of writers, media professionals and designers steeped in core sectors of commercial finance, technology and healthcare. Launched new Foresight Agency website to introduce expanded digital marketing and strategic new media advertising capabilities.
